- Free, no account
- Gold and silver seal

- Names only
Paste your list of students, pick Excellence or Achievement, and print every certificate at once. Each one carries your school’s criteria, the principal’s name and a QR code that opens its verify page.
One US Letter page per student, landscape, with a laurel seal of our own design: gold for Academic Excellence, silver for Academic Achievement.
Laurelroll’s academic awards are our own recognition. They are not a government award.
How the free academic awards work
Built on the same engine our volunteer awards already use. Free for every school, with no account.
- 1
Paste your list of students
Names from your spreadsheet, each with Excellence or Achievement and a grade. Nothing else: no grades, scores, birth dates or emails.
- 2
Your principal issues them
Write the school’s criteria in one line, such as “GPA of 3.5 or higher, or a teacher’s recommendation”. The principal confirms the students met them, and that line goes on every certificate.
- 3
Print them all for the ceremony
One click prints every certificate, each with a QR code and a code that opens its verify page. Show an honor roll if you want one: first names and last initials only, hidden from search engines.

What Laurelroll keeps about students
- Names only, with the award, grade and school year. Never grades, scores, birth dates, student IDs or emails.
- No public list by default. Each award has a verify page reached only by its code. An honor roll is off unless the school turns it on, and then shows first names and last initials and asks search engines not to index it.
- Directory information. Before listing students publicly, the school confirms no family opted out of directory information. This is a summary, not legal advice; follow your district’s policy.
- The school decides. The principal chooses the students and states the criteria. Laurelroll never computes who qualifies.
Questions
What is on each certificate?
The school’s name, the award (Academic Excellence or Academic Achievement), the student’s name, grade and school year, the school’s criteria in its own words, the principal’s name and the date, plus a QR code and a link to its verify page.
Can someone check that a certificate is real?
Yes. The QR code opens a page on laurelroll.com that shows the award as the school issued it, and says so if the school withdrew it or if the stored award no longer matches.
Is it free for a whole school?
Yes. There is no fee per student, no subscription and no account. Up to 500 students at a time; a bigger list goes in two parts.
Is this the President’s Education Award?
No. That program ended in September 2026. These are Laurelroll’s own free awards, issued by your school. They are not a government award.
