How it works
- 1
Paste your roster
Names, hours and ages from your spreadsheet, or open a CSV file. Each volunteer’s level is worked out as you paste: bronze, silver, gold, or a certificate of service.
- 2
Issue the awards
Type your organization’s name and who is issuing them. Each award gets its own verify page and code. You can withdraw one at any time.
- 3
Print and share
Print every certificate at once or save them as one PDF. Each has a QR code that opens its verify page. Choose who appears on your public honor roll, then show it on a lobby screen or your website.

The Laurelroll Service Honor
Free bronze, silver and gold levels for hours your supervisors confirmed in the last 12 months. The hour levels match the ones the President's Volunteer Service Award used before it was paused, so they mean the same thing to a reader. It is our own recognition, not a government award.
| Age group | Bronze | Silver | Gold |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kids (5-10) | 26+ h | 50+ h | 75+ h |
| Teens (11-15) | 50+ h | 75+ h | 100+ h |
| Young adults (16-25) | 100+ h | 175+ h | 250+ h |
| Adults (26+) | 100+ h | 250+ h | 500+ h |
Also recorded: every hour step (1, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500) and 4,000 lifetime hours.
Questions
What does it cost?
Nothing, for any number of volunteers. No fee per award, no subscription, no account. Laurelroll is run not-for-profit.
What do we need?
A roster with each volunteer’s name and hours for the period, and their age or age group so the right level is used. Paste it from a spreadsheet or open a CSV file.
How does a school or college know an award is real?
Each certificate has a QR code and a code that open its verify page: the volunteer’s name, hours, period, level, who issued it for your organization, and whether it has changed since. If you add your Laurelroll code to a page on your website, the award also shows that we confirmed your organization controls that website.
Is this the President’s Volunteer Service Award?
No. The PVSA has been paused since 27 May 2025. The Laurelroll Service Honor uses the same hour levels by age so the numbers mean the same thing, but it is our own free recognition, not a government award.
Are volunteers’ names public?
Only on each award’s verify page, which needs its code. Your public honor roll lists only the volunteers you choose, and only with their consent (a parent’s for anyone under 18).
Can we withdraw an award?
Yes. A withdrawn award stays at its address and says it was withdrawn, so nobody can keep using it.
